Motion to Dismiss the Moderators Commission
A motion was made to dismiss the moderators commission. After debate a motion to table the motion was passed. The moderators commission has not been dismissed, but the issue may be taken up again later.
Interesting that they didn't move to Postpone, instead of Table. According to Wikipedia, Table is supposed to be used to set aside a motion in order to deal with an urgent matter that has come up and must be dealt with immediately. If the motion is not taken from the table prior to the end of Synod, the motion dies. Motion to Table is often used as an improper way to kill the main motion. (Wikipedia)
